Meet the Team
at Venturers
Jonny Helm:
‘I have been a Venturer leader for 20 years this year, with the help of some amazing friends to keep the group going and growing. In my spare time, I am a printmaker and last year I was involved in the Woodcraft Folk 100th anniversary camp running a printmaking activity centre and making a camp newspaper.’
Charlotte Ashe:
‘I've been a part of Teddington Woodcraft for my whole life and some of my fondest memories are from our camping trips. I now work in environmental education with the RHS and I love to be outdoors as much as possible. I also love learning new crafts and skills and sharing them with the Venturer and DF groups.’
Elspeth Dawe:
‘I'm one of the youngest Teddington leaders! I've grown up through the various Teddington Woodcraft groups from age 6 to now being a leader for the Venturer group. I have a full-time job in the music industry but alongside that some of my hobbies include going to football, crocheting and playing folk music.’
Maya Hall-Balfourth
I have attended Woodcraft for many years as a kid and more recently as a leader, sharing my time between both Teddington and Kingston districts. The basis of much of Woodcraft in the form of the great outdoors and nature have stuck with me throughout my education and employment, having studies Zoology at Exeter and now working with nature everyday at a nature reserve.
