What’s So Great about Teddington
All groups in Teddington meet on a Thursday in various community halls across the area and like almost all Woodcraft districts, Teddington is run by a an amazing group of volunteers, all working together to make each Thursday better than the last, with a great host of activities from bushcraft to baking.
Teddington itself as about 51 years old as a district and each year for most of those 51 years the whole district gets together in the summer, to go camping for a week! - A highlight of many people’s experience of Teddington.
Similar to many Woodcraft Groups across the country many of the children and young people who attend our sessions on a Thursday have for many years, and as a result have formed wonderful networks of friends, that many of them will keep for life.
“I have been attending Teddington Woodcraft Folk for most of my life and have probably made some of my closest friends there, so much that each year I look forward to spending a week with them in a muddy field.” - Teddington DF
“Each year camp somehow always makes it into being the best part of my year no matter the holidays I have planned and I think it’s the people, they are some of my favorite people.” - Teddington Adult
