What’s So Great about Teddington?

All groups in Teddington meet on a Thursday evening in community halls across the area. Like other Woodcraft districts, Teddington sessions are run by a an amazing group of volunteers, all working together to make each Thursday better than the last, leading a variety of activities, from bushcraft to baking!

As a national organisation, we believe in the importance of looking after our planet, and encourage understanding, enjoyment and protection of our environment. In Teddington, we are fortunate to have lots of green space available; our groups make the most of this with hikes, bat walks, and nature-themed crafts.

As a district, Teddington Woodcraft is more than 50 years old. With few exceptions across that time, the whole district has come together for an annual week-long summer camp! Camp is a highlight of many people’s time with Teddington District.

Similar to other groups across the country, many of the children and young people who attend our sessions on a Thursday have done so for many years. As a result, our members have formed strong networks of friends that many of them will keep for life.
